Victor Company Of Japan Ltd commonly known as JVC was started in the year 1927 with its headquarters in Yokohama Japan.

The company designs and develops Consumer goods and professional electronics which became famous with the first television product and video home systems.  “3050”  is the first TV model with 3-inch having black and white cathode ray tube which was introduced in the year 1975.

Later, the company has continued to add cassette-recorder 3060 model which was the world’s first boombox with Cassette, radio and TV.

As of 2008, the company merged with Kenwood Corporation to create JVC Kenwood Holdings. During the year 1953 to 2008, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co Ltd was the majority share holder in JVC.

It employs 19,044 people all over the world with ¥658.4 billion revenue as on 2008. Audio, software media, visuals and computer related electronics etc are the products produced by the company.
