  1. Racial Discrimination

    To the highest Executive,

I am very disturbed by the experience I had today, November 17, 2018 at Zara location in Aventura, FL. I been a long time customer for over 15 plus years; when this store was located by Bloomingdales.

Normally while shopping I am all glammed up but the one time I am not I am racially discriminated against I was dressed in my joggers, jacket, and a hat when I ask Jorge your floor manager to help assist me with a size. Jorge totally ignored me while face to face with me asking for help repeatedly twice, as if I wasn’t speaking to him. He then says “I’m helping a customer”, I stated “If I known that I would’ve waiting or you should acknowledge me by saying one second I will be with you”. I expressed to Jorge, “If I was dressed and look like I fit in amongst the crowd, I truly believe you wouldn’t have treated me like a non-factor”. At that moment Jorge decided to help, it was extremely too late now.

This is very dishearten having to deal with the odds as a black women in today’s society. I have never been so humiliated in my life. One thing I can assure Zara lost a committed long time customer. I hope no other customer have to deal with being maltreated.

    Awaiting a response.

    Cordially,
    Nesha

  2. Online purchase

    Hello Zara!
I have just recently become a new and loyal customer to Zara. I happened to walk in the store one day and absolutely loved everything about the store to which I even came home and continued shopping online for any items that the store might not have. However, online purchases for me are quite limited and I have ordered from other stores who have refunded me back my full amount exactly as I paid it when needed to return due to size issues and so forth. I had searched online regarding your return policy and nothing had stated that the tax for my items would not be refunded. Instead I came across a line that stated that full refund is received back with the same form of payment, however nothing regarding tax being subtracted from the refund. Therefore, I ordered clothes from you guys nearly worth $300, to which some did not fit properly. I will be driving all the way to Glendale tomorrow to visit a store location and complete my return for some items and to make more purchases. However, when I went online to my orders to pull up the receipt, or code, the refund amount they showed me seemed to be subtracted, and I worry that my tax for such a large amount will not be refunded back. This is my very first experience with you guys and I really hope that you can get back to me as soon as possible and that you may inform me of your policy as I am now unaware exactly of how your online returns work. Please get back to me as soon as possible, and I wish to hear from you guys soon!

  3. HORRIBLE customer service.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Honestly I’m SO disappointed in Zara and the experience I had recently that I will never shop here again. I liked a jacket online and the website said they had it in the providence place mall but when I went there they didn’t have it (the inventory was inaccurate online because even when I was there it still said they had 1). Anyways, I ordered the jacket online and didn’t like it in person plus it was way too big for me. I had the jacket on for less than 30 seconds, new it wasn’t the right fit and put it back in the box and sent it back. Weeks later I get a notification that my Zara order is headed my way. Come to find out, its the same jacket I returned weeks prior! They sent the jacket back to me and when I reached out to inquire they said it was ineligible for return because it smelt like perfume. I’m sorry, WHAT?!? 1. I don’t even wear perfume so that’s a made up excuse in itself 2. The jacket was on for 30 seconds so whatever condition it came to me in it got returned the SAME EXACT WAY. What I think they are doing is the jacket was returnable when I bought it but it was at the tail end of the season so they probably didn’t want to lose out since they weren’t selling it online anymore. Customer service said they would have a manager reach out to me in 24-48 hours.. nothing… I waited 1 full week before calling back to see what was going on. New customer service person claimed they tried reaching out but the number they had on file wasn’t correct. I asked what number do you have? They would not answer any more questions from that point. I opened up a new chat and they would talk to me at first and then same thing. Stop. I called up customer service on the phone spoke with Amber the customer service supervisor and she was extremely rude and had horrible customer service. She said I see it smelt like perfume sorry we can’t take it back. I asked that she look into it more and because I didn’t feel she would I asked for the name of her supervisor. She said she can not give out that information and she’s the highest authority I can speak with. Honestly this is so mind boggling and I really feel like I was scammed. This is the last thing I would except from a big company like Zara but now I know better. I will do whatever I can write a letter to corporate leave reviews until someone gets back to me with an acceptable response.

  4. I am a long time customer of Zara but had a horrible experience this month. I bought shoes for my daughter and they fell apart after 2 uses. The glue came undone on both shoes and the sole was flapping.
I went back to the store to get a refund and the manager said they looked worn more than 2 times. She accused me of lying. Even if she wore them a week, they should not fall apart. My receipt showed the shoes were purchased just a few weeks prior so I was well within the 30 day period to make a return.
I called corporate and told them of my experience. They made me take pictures and send them a copy of the receipt.
They said they would make an exception and give me a refund.
Why is it an EXCEPTION? It should be their duty to refund me my money due to bad quality shoes, not an exception. They made me feel like they are doing me a favor by returning my money to me. I am so upset after being such a loyal customer for 13 years.

  5. Horrible customer service

I am extremely disappointed in Zara’s customer service. I have been a customer for 12 years in China where I live. I unexpectedly flew in to the United States for my father’s funeral and shopped at Zara for items for my family to wear. I bought several items not knowing what would fit the kids and thought that I could easily return them. Covid hit 3 weeks later. I went to return my items and was told the store was closed. I needed to leave the State and was not able to access Zara. I even offered to send the items back and they said that was not an option. Upon returning, I attempted to return the items and they claimed I was unable to because it was beyond the extension period they offered for Covid. The representative would not allow me to talk to his supervisor and would not tell me his name. He gave a corporate number that when I called it, I was directed right back to him. I wrote an email to the contact they listed and it was immediately sent back saying the email was invalid. The words “customer service” do not apply to Zara – they have none.
