  1. VW Kimberley is absolutely the worst

VW Kimberley is absolutely the worst. My VW CC has locknuts on and my lock nut case was in the boot. After getting my car back from a service a while later I realised I have a slow puncture. I went to Tiger Wheel and Tyre and low and behold my lock nut case was missing. My tyre can not be removed without this kit.

I phoned and told them about this and it’s weeks later and nobody has gotten back to me.

So I will now be going to make a case against VW Kimberley as this is unacceptable and to make matters worse friends of ours has the VW Kombi and their GPS card was stolen out of their vehicle too.

Enough is enough. And they just don’t care.

  2. Disappointed

I would like to express deep disappointment with my continual struggles with VW. I recently had my tyre changed somewhere where they had not replaced my lock nut. On having another flat I had to change the tyre only to find no lock nut. I went to VW to ask for assistance. I was made to buy an entire new set of locks for my tyres. I was then told they couldn’t assist me to remove the old ones and change it and I should go to another tyre place to hav wit done. The other tyre place requires me to drive there, wait a long time and I would have to pay for the service. More paying. My wait was too long and as I had to return to work I had to leave and this is dangerous as in currently still driving with these old nuts on and if something had to happen I would not be able to change my tyre. I don’t think this is fair as I make an effort to come to VW, but genuine parts and I truly need assistance as a female that knows very little about cars. I am very disappointed that this is a continual problem I have with VW where no extra effort is ever made to help a customer and I am simply told I cannot be helped and I should pay for a service somewhere else

  3. Vw westgate broke my trust

Vw westgate sold me a car that has been breaking down since a week after i bought it,its the fourth time in one year that im returning the vehicle and they still refuse to change the vehicle indmstead now they want me to pay for the damage that i didnt cause ,their car leaves me stranded in the middle of nowhere everytime,i honestly regret buying a vehicle at vw westgate because now i dont even have peace of mind when im driving especialy to work and back because i work far from home,vw westgate will promise you good service snd good cars but after they take your money they dont care anymore

  4. Total mess

Vw SA is a total fuck up, especially Kimberley, they know nothing about customer relations

  5. Trusted brand in SA? I absolutely disagree.

I purchased my Polo 2.0 litre GTI DSG 2018 in August from Alpine VW. Ever since I have had continuous problems. The vehicle was a demo with a mileage of 500ks. Post delivery whilst driving I had heard an unusual noise from the passenger side front tyre. Turned out that balancing was not done after they had installed the 18 inch rims that I had purchased. However the noise still persisted. I then had to take it back to Alpine VW and the shock rubber seemed to have snapped, which was then ordered from JHB to be fitted. During this time I did have a courtesy vehicle.

Once that was resolved, 3 months later I get into my vehicle after having not used it during the weekend only to find my rear view mirror hanging by its wires. Yes it had completely fell off. I opted to go to Barons VW due to it being more convenient which Alpine VW did contact them to inform them I would be coming in. When I got there no arrangements had been made, staff were extremely rude and unhelpful. They claimed that they would have to get an assessor to assess if it is a warranty claim if not it would be at my own cost. Having to drive without a mirror for almost two days, Alpine VW picked my vehicle up from me and left me with a courtesy vehicle. it was resolved within two days.

One month later, whilst driving (yesterday) my vehicle had switched off and did not start again. Being a female driver alone, in the middle of a main road I had to get assistance from other drivers to put my vehicle to one side. How would I ever think that driving a VW will be reliable again? A 4 month old car completely switching off and not starting again. Trusted brand in SA? Not by me.

Previously I had a Toyota for the past 4 Years. Not a single day did I ever encounter any problems. All of my family members have Toyotas, neither have them had encountered problems. My Dad worked for Toyota SA manufacturing for 35 years and he is in complete disbelief as how a brand new Car could just now work again.

What exactly are your’ll manufacturing? I regret purchasing a VW.
Currently my car is with Alpine VW. I called them this morning asking for a courtesy vehicle and I was told they do not have vehicles and that they would have to assess the problem first. It is a public holiday, I have to be at work tomorrow and I am left without a vehicle.

    Extremely Dissapointed.

  6. Volkswagen Potchefstroom

Volkswagen Potchefstroom is such a disappoinment. I phoned them on Tuesday for a quote on my Volkswagen. They said they will email me the quote. By Thursday I still have not received it and phoned again. They original lady was not there at that moment but the gentleman who answered the phone, assured me she will get back to me. By Friday I still have not received anything. I phoned the dealer principle. His phone went to messaging. I left a message and he did not phone me back. It seems the whole place is riddled with incompetance .
I’ll have to take my Volkwagen to Nelspruit Volkswagen where I always receive 10/10 service.
